Section 55-3-77 - Agreements with United States on behalf of counties, municipalities and other governmental units

The commission may enter into and administer agreements with the United States or any appropriate agency thereof for the planning, acquisition, or development of projects involving participating federal aid funds on behalf of any county, municipality or other governmental unit, provided that such county, municipality or other governmental unit gives necessary assurances to the department that it has available sufficient funds to meet its share of the cost of the project and that the acquired or developed areas will be operated and maintained at its expense for public outdoor recreation use.Codes, 1942, § 5974-106; Laws, 1966, ch. 282, § 6; Laws, 2000, ch. 516, § 118, eff. 4/30/2000.
