All bonds or state bonds issued pursuant to this chapter shall be legal investments for trustees, other fiduciaries, savings banks, trust companies and insurance companies organized under the laws of the State of Mississippi; and such bonds shall be legal securities which may be deposited with and shall be received by all public officers and bodies of the state and all municipalities and other political subdivisions thereof for the purpose of securing the deposit of public funds.Laws, 1987 Ex Sess, ch. 24, § 18, eff. 8/29/1987.
