Section 59-1-7 - Meetings; officers

When the port commissioners shall have been appointed and shall be qualified as set out in this chapter, they shall meet at the regular place for the meetings of the mayor and board of aldermen, or mayor and board of commissioners, of the municipality, after giving at least ten days notice of the time and place of such meeting by publication in a newspaper published in such city, and they shall elect a president and secretary, who shall be members of the commission.Codes, 1930, § 4851; 1942, § 7548.
