Section 59-17-7 - Functions of board and inland port as essential governmental functions

The carrying out of the corporate purposes of the board and the state inland port authority is, in all respects, for the benefit of the people of the State of Mississippi and is a public purpose, and the board and such state inland port authority will be performing an essential governmental function in the exercise of the powers conferred upon them by this chapter.Codes, 1942, § 7623-24; Laws, 1968, ch. 430, § 24, eff. 8/8/1968.
