No municipality in this state, whether acting alone or jointly with another municipality, or with the state, shall submit to any federal agency or department of the United States any project application under the provisions of any act of Congress which provides airport planning funds or airport construction and development funds for the expansion and improvement of the airport system unless the project and project application have been first approved by the Mississippi Transportation Commission.Codes, 1942, § 7536-25; Laws, 1948, ch. 189, § 20; Laws, 1974, ch. 447; Laws, 1992, ch. 496, § 28, eff. 7/1/1992.
