Section 63-15-5 - Applicability of chapter to government owned vehicles

This chapter shall not apply with respect to any motor vehicle owned by the United States, the State of Mississippi or any political subdivision of this state. Nothing in this chapter shall be construed so as to exclude from this chapter its applicability to taxicabs, jitneys or other vehicles for hire operating under franchise or permit of any incorporated city, town or village.Codes, 1942, § 8285-33; Laws, 1952, ch. 359, § 32, eff. 1/1/1953.
