Section 63-21-71 - Penalties for violations of chapter generally

It is a misdemeanor for any person to violate any of the provisions of this chapter unless such violation is by the law of this state declared to be a felony.Every person convicted of a misdemeanor for the violation of any of the provisions of this chapter shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00), or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.Codes, 1942, § 8125-55; Laws, 1968, ch. 531, § 35, eff. 8/9/1968.
