(a) 'Stop,' when required, means the complete cessation from movement.(b) 'Stop, stopping or standing,' when prohibited, means any stopping or standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or of a traffic control sign or signal.(c) 'Park,' when prohibited, means the standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, otherwise than temporarily for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading.Codes, 1942, § 8144; Laws, 1938, ch. 200; Laws, 1956, ch. 327.
