Before operating a fully autonomous vehicle on public roads in this state without a human driver, a person shall file proof of financial responsibility satisfactory to the Department of Public Safety that the fully autonomous vehicle is covered by insurance or proof of self-insurance that satisfies the requirements of Section 63-15-37, 63-15-39, 63-15-41, 63-15-43, 63-15-49, 63-15-51 or 63-15-53.Added by Laws, 2023, ch. 443, HB 1003,§ 6, eff. 7/1/2023.
