Section 65-1-87 - Purchases of war surplus equipment, supplies and materials

The Mississippi State Highway Commission is hereby authorized and empowered to purchase war surplus equipment, supplies, and materials from the General Services Administration of the United States of America without the necessity of advertising for bids for such materials and equipment and supplies, even though the cost of such materials, equipment, and supplies exceed the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), provided that such equipment, materials, and supplies shall be purchased for less than the then prevailing market price.Codes, 1942, § 8041.5; Laws, 1960, ch. 361, §§ 1-3.
