The boards of supervisors of the several counties upon request of a separate road district are hereby authorized to cooperate in the construction and maintenance of any public road connecting two such districts, and may, in their discretion, appropriate and expend such district road funds for such purpose in such an amount as may appear to be for the best interest of the respective districts.Codes, 1942, § 8401; Laws, 1938, ch. 322.
