The commissioners hereinabove provided shall receive the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00) per day for each day, or major fraction thereof, in which they are called upon to attend the meetings of the board, together with necessary travel expenses not to exceed Six Cents (6¢) per mile for miles actually travelled while engaged in the business of their office.Codes, 1942, § 8447-24; Laws, 1952, ch. 210, § 4.
