When the Governor shall have executed said compact on behalf of this state and shall cause a verified copy thereof to be filed with the Secretary of State, and when said compact shall have been ratified by the State of Arkansas, then said compact shall become operative and effective as between the States of Arkansas and Mississippi. The Governor is hereby authorized and directed to take such action as may be necessary to complete the exchange of official documents between this state and the State of Arkansas with respect to ratifying said compact.Laws, 1985, ch. 357, § 4, eff. 3/19/1985.
