§ 65-3-71-20

(1) The following segment of highway located in Panola, Tallahatchie, Grenada and Carroll Counties is hereby designated as a scenic highway: Mississippi Highway 35 beginning at the corporate limits of the City of Batesville and extending southerly to the corporate limits of the Town of Vaiden.(2)(a) The State Highway Department may plan and erect suitable signs and markers along the above described segment of highway and along the interstate approaches to such highway. Such signs shall be attractive and designed to invite and encourage tourism, recreation and camping in the area.(b) The State Highway Department may establish and maintain rest and observation areas along the designated segment of highway and may invite the participation of and cooperate with any state, county or municipal agency to assist in the promotion and development of the scenic highway hereinabove designated.Laws, 1991, ch. 548, § 2, eff. 4/12/1991.
