(1) The section of Mississippi Highway 51 located in Panola County, Mississippi, beginning at Thermos Drive in Batesville, Mississippi, and extending approximately one (1) mile south to Viney Creek Road in Batesville, Mississippi, is designated and shall be known as the 'Deputy Joe Kenneth Cosby Memorial Highway' in memory of the late former Deputy Sheriff Joe Kenneth Cosby of Panola, Mississippi.(2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment of highway described in subsection (1) of this section.Added by Laws, 2023, ch. 383, SB 2546,§ 1, eff. 3/14/2023.
