(1) The segment of U.S. Highway 72 South located in Slayden, Marshall County, Mississippi, extending for a total distance of approximately one (1) mile, consisting of a distance of one-half (1/2) mile in the easterly direction of U.S. Highway 72 and a distance of one-half (1/2) mile in the westerly direction of U.S. Highway 72, with the central point of beginning in both the easterly and westerly directions being the entrance of the H.W. Byers School, is designated and shall be known as the 'Eddie Dixon Memorial Highway.'(2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment of the highway described in subsection (1) of this section.Added by Laws, 2024, ch. 504, HB 1681,§ 3, eff. 7/1/2024.
