The board of supervisors of the several counties of the state shall forthwith erect or cause to be erected, at all forks, crossroads or road intersections on all of the state highways and all other principal roads within their county, sign or guide boards in compliance with specifications theretofore furnished by the state highway department or state highway engineer.Codes, 1930, § 6319; 1942, § 8293; Laws, 1926, ch. 224.
