Section 69-1-9 - Appointment of clerk; oath and term of office

The Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce must appoint a clerk, who must take the oath of office to discharge faithfully all the duties, which are or may be required of him by law. The clerk shall hold office during the term of the commissioner by whom he is appointed, and until the appointment and qualification of his successor, unless sooner removed.Codes, 1906, § 1628; Hemingway's 1917, § 3409; 1930, § 3603; 1942, § 4419.
