This article shall be known as the 'Mississippi Hemp Cultivation Act.' The regulation of hemp cultivation and processing shall be governed exclusively by the provisions of the Mississippi Hemp Cultivation Act. A municipality, county or other political subdivision of this state shall not enact, adopt or enforce a rule, ordinance, order, resolution or other regulation that allows, prohibits or penalizes the cultivation, production or processing of hemp in this state.Added by Laws, 2020, ch. 413, SB 2725,§ 1, eff. 6/29/2020.
