Section 7-1-65 - To borrow money in case of casualties

The governor is authorized, in case of casualty or casualties caused by wind, fire, or water leaving people distressed and in destitute circumstances, to borrow money in sums not exceeding Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) in any one case, and to expend the same for the relief of such suffering and on such terms and conditions as he may see fit and proper.
