Section 7-9-101 - Authorization to employ or enter into contract with investment advisors, security custodians, and/or bank trust departments

The State Treasurer is hereby authorized and empowered to employ or enter into a contract for the services of investment advisors, security custodians and/or bank trust departments for the management and investment of the Education Improvement Trust Fund created in Section 206A of the Mississippi Constitution of 1890. Compensation or fees for such services shall be paid from the income derived from investment of the principal of the trust fund, subject to appropriation by the Legislature.Laws, 1988, ch. 320, § 1, eff. 7/1/1988.
