Each member of the board, except a state employee, shall receive per diem in accordance with Section 25-3-69 when actually attending meetings of the board or its committees. Board members shall be reimbursed for traveling expenses in accordance with Section 25-3-41. If the president of the board assumes the powers and duties under Section 73-63-19, the president shall receive per diem for each day spent executing those powers and duties.
