Section 73-69-29 - Injunction for violation of chapter

(1) In addition to the penalties otherwise provided for by this chapter, the State Fire Marshal may cause to issue in any court of competent jurisdiction an injunction without bond enjoining any person from violating or continuing to violate the provisions of this chapter.(2) In the suit for an injunction, the State Fire Marshal may demand of the defendant a penalty of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per day for each violation, reasonable attorney fees and court costs. Judgment for penalty, attorney fees and court costs may be rendered in the same judgment in which the injunction is made absolute. Laws, 2006, ch. 528, § 15, eff. 7/1/2006.
