It is hereby made a misdemeanor for any person or corporation to sell or buy any of the foregoing commodities on short weights in violation of the above schedule of rates and any such person or corporation upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than Five Dollars ($5.00) nor more than Fifty Dollars ($50.00).Codes, Hemingway's 1917, § 3347; 1930, § 7362; 1942, § 5139; Laws, 1914, ch. 134.
