No person shall sell as gasoline any product which fails to meet the standard as defined in this chapter, nor sell any gasoline at retail without exhibiting the proper signs as required in this chapter, and provided further, that all gasoline offered for sale shall always be as high octane number as advertised to be.Codes, 1942, § 5087; Laws, 1938, ch. 145; Laws, 1946, ch. 263, § 7.
