Section 77-5-137 - Compensation and expenses of directors

Each director of the district shall receive compensation from the district for his services as such at the rate of not more than ten dollars ($10.00) for each day he shall attend meetings of the board or when he is engaged upon the business of the board, not to exceed the sum of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) in any one year. He shall also be entitled to be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred by him in the performance of his duties required of him by law or by resolution or vote of the board.Codes, 1942, § 5450; Laws, 1936, ch. 187.
