(1) The rates, services and practices relating to the purchase, development, storage, transmission, distribution and sale by the authority of gas as authorized by this chapter shall not be subject to the provisions of the Mississippi Public Service Commission law nor to its regulation.(2) The provisions of this chapter do not, and are not intended to, increase or diminish the authority and jurisdiction of the Public Service Commission with respect to the distribution, sale, or transmission of gas by any county, municipal corporation or other political subdivision of this state.Laws, 1988, ch. 515, § 36, eff. 5/16/1988.
