Section 77-8-3 - Transportation network companies or drivers not common carriers; registration of vehicle not required

Transportation network companies or transportation network company drivers are not common carriers by motor vehicle, contract carriers by motor vehicle, or restricted motor carriers under Chapter 7, Title 77, Mississippi Code of 1972, nor do they provide taxicab or limousine services. A transportation network company driver shall not be required to register the vehicle the driver uses to provide prearranged rides as a commercial vehicle.Added by Laws, 2016, ch. 328, HB 1381, 2, eff. 7/1/2016.
