Section 81-23-13 - Requirements for out-of-state state banks

Any out-of-state state bank that will be the resulting bank pursuant to an interstate branching transaction involving a Mississippi state bank shall notify the commissioner of the proposed transaction not later than the date on which it files an application for an interstate branching transaction with the responsible federal bank supervisory agency, and shall submit a copy of that application to the commissioner and pay the filing fee, if any, required by the commissioner. Any Mississippi bank which is a party to such interstate branching transaction shall comply with all other applicable state and federal laws.Laws, 1996, ch. 441, § 8, eff. 5/1/1997.
