A health insurance issuer shall periodically review its prior authorization requirements and consider removal of prior authorization requirements:(a) Where a medication or procedure prescribed is customary and properly indicated or is a treatment for the clinical indication as supported by peer-reviewed medical publications; or(b) For patients currently managed with an established treatment regimen.Added by Laws, 2024, ch. 302, SB 2140,§ 11, eff. 7/1/2024.
