The Commissioner of Insurance may make use of any of the powers established under the insurance laws and regulations of this state to establish a nonbinding, nonadversarial alternative dispute resolution procedure for the effective, fair and timely handling of personal lines insurance claims. The commissioner may establish and, from time to time, amend the rules and regulations relating to the establishment and enforcement of this section. Laws, 2006, ch. 316, § 1, eff. 3/1/2006.
