Section 83-53-19 - Reporting and settlement of claims; maintenance of claim files

All claims shall be promptly reported by the debtor, his agent or estate to the insurer or its designated claims representative, who shall maintain adequate claim files. All claims shall be settled in accordance with the terms of the insurance contract by the insurer who shall be the sole party liable to the debtor for the payment of claims or refunds.Laws, 1986, ch. 440, § 10, eff. 5/1/1986.
