Section 83-9-212 - Liability of board, employees, insurers, association, etc

Neither the board nor its employees shall be liable for any obligations of the association. There shall be no liability on the part of and no cause of action shall arise against any member insurer or its agents or employees, the association or its agents or employees, members of the board of directors or the commissioner or his representatives for any action or omission by them in the performance of their powers and duties under Sections 83-9-201 through 83-9-222. The board may provide in its bylaws or rules for indemnification of, and legal representation for, its members and employees.Laws, 1995, ch. 490, § 7; reenacted and amended, Laws, 1997, ch. 311, § 7, eff. 7/1/1997.
