Section 89-1-35 - Effect of words "warrant specially

The words 'warrant specially,' in a conveyance, shall constitute a covenant that the grantor, his heirs and personal representatives, will forever warrant and defend the title of the property unto the grantee and his heirs, representatives, and assigns, against the claims of all persons claiming by, through, or under the grantor.Codes, 1880, § 1234; 1892, § 2481; 1906, § 2818; Hemingway's 1917, § 2319; 1930, § 2123; 1942, § 844.
