Section 9-12-5 - [Repealed 7/1/2027] Appointment of clerk for the Capitol Complex Improvement District inferior court

(1) The Administrative Office of Courts, in consultation with the Chief Justice of the Mississippi Supreme Court, shall appoint a clerk for the Capitol Complex Improvement District (CCID) inferior court.(2) The Administrative Office of Courts shall provide support staff and any other staff necessary to carry out the functions and duties for the clerk of the CCID inferior court.(3) The Administrative Office of Courts shall pay the salaries of the clerk and support staff of the CCID, subject to available funds specifically appropriated by the Legislature for such purpose. Such salaries shall not be in amounts less than the salaries paid to the clerk and staff of the municipal courts in the City of Jackson.(4) This section shall stand repealed on July 1, 2027.Added by Laws, 2023, ch. 546, HB 1020,§ 6, eff. 7/1/2023.
