Section 9-3-13 - Clerk of Supreme Court to take oath and give bond

The clerk of the Supreme Court, before he enters on the discharge of the duties of his office, shall take the oath prescribed in the constitution, and enter into bond with at least two sufficient sureties, to be approved by the court, or in vacation by two of the judges, payable to the state in the penalty of five thousand dollars, conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of his office. The bond shall be recorded in the minutes of the court, and, immediately thereafter deposited and filed in the office of the secretary of state.Codes, Hemingway's 1917, § 3226; 1930, § 3363; 1942, § 1947; Laws, 1908, ch. 143.
