Section 93-17-211 - Civil and criminal immunity for persons acting under Adoption Confidentiality Act

Any person, including this state or any political subdivision of this state, and any employee, agent or representative of any agency who participates in good faith in any requirement of Sections 93-17-201 through 93-17-223 shall have immunity from any liability, civil or criminal, that results from his or her actions. In any proceeding, civil or criminal, the good faith of any person participating in the requirements of Sections 93-17-201 through 93-17-223 shall be presumed.Laws, 1992, ch. 306, §§ 6, 12, eff. 7/1/1992.
