Section 97-11-15 - Circuit clerk; penalty for failure or refusal to send up certificate of appeal

Any clerk of a circuit court who shall wilfully or negligently fail or refuse to send up the certificate of appeal, as provided in Section 99-35-121, Mississippi Code of 1972, within the time required, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction therefor shall be punished by a fine of not more than two hundred dollars ($200.00), or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than three months, or both.Codes, Hemingway's 1921 Supp. § 50a; 1930, § 49; 1942, § 1183; Laws, 1920, ch. 147.
