Section 97-25-15 - Railroads; jumping on or off cars in motion

If any person, other than passengers or employees engaged in operating the railroad, shall wilfully climb, jump or step upon, or in any way attach himself to, or shall jump off a locomotive, tender or car while in motion on a railroad track or siding, he shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than two hundred dollars ($200.00), or be imprisoned in the county jail not less than five (5) days nor more than twenty-five (25) days, or both.Codes, 1892, § 1272; 1906, § 1347; Hemingway's 1917, § 1081; 1930, § 1111; 1942, § 2347; Laws, 1981, ch. 541, § 6, eff. 7/1/1981.
