It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, corporation or association to have, control or possess in this state, or to transport from place to place in the state, or to bring into the state, any liquid ginger preparation, which might be used as an intoxicating beverage, elixir of orange peel, or pear extract by whatever name designated, whether intended for personal use or otherwise.Any person, firm, corporation or association, violating any of the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction shall be punished by a fine of not more than three hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in the county jail for a period of ninety days, or both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court, for each violation.Codes, 1930, § 2024; 1942, § 2663; Laws, 1930, ch. 39.
