Section 99-11-37 - Cognizance and jurisdiction of crimes committed in particular district in Harrison County or Hinds County

(1) In Harrison County, a county having two (2) judicial districts, all crimes and misdemeanors shall be cognizable only in the proper court of the district in which the offense may be committed, and such court shall have jurisdiction of the same.(2) In Hinds County, a county having two (2) judicial districts, all crimes and misdemeanors committed in Hinds County shall be cognizable in the court of either judicial district of the county, and such court shall have jurisdiction of the same.
