Title III LEGISLATIVE BRANCH Chapter 21 • Effective - 28 Aug 1971 21.600. Definitions. — As used in sections 21.600 to 21.620, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, the following terms mean: (1) 'Bill', proposed legislation drafted in the form of an act or joint resolution for introduction into either the house of representatives or the senate of the general assembly of Missouri; (2) 'Filing period', that period of time commencing on December first next preceding the opening day of the annual session for which the bill is filed and continuing up to but not including the opening day; (3) 'Opening day', the first Wednesday after the first Monday in January of each year as fixed by the Missouri constitution for the convening of regular sessions of the general assembly. ­­-------- (L. 1971 H.B. 156 § 1)
