Title IV EXECUTIVE BRANCH Chapter 30 Effective - 28 Aug 1945 30.410. Refusal to pay lawful warrant — penalty. — If the state treasurer shall willfully and unlawfully refuse to pay any warrant lawfully drawn upon the treasury, when there is money in the fund upon which the warrant is drawn to pay the same, he shall forfeit and pay to the holder thereof fourfold the amount of such warrant, to be recovered by civil action against the treasurer and his sureties on the official bond, or otherwise, according to law; and the treasurer shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor in office. -------- (RSMo 1939 § 13060, A.L. 1945 p. 1977 § 25) Prior revisions: 1929 § 11436; 1919 § 13342, 1909 § 11843
