Title VI COUNTY, TOWNSHIP AND POLITICAL SUBDIVISION GOVERNMENT Chapter 56 Effective - 28 Aug 1972 56.200. Assistants — qualifications, salaries (second class counties). — The prosecuting attorney, in counties of the second class, shall be entitled to: (1) Not more than four assistants when the assessed valuation of the county is less than two hundred fifty million dollars; (2) Not more than eight assistants when the assessed valuation of the county is two hundred fifty million dollars or more. The assistants shall be appointed by the prosecuting attorney. They shall possess the same qualifications and be subject to the same fines and penalties for neglect of duty or misdemeanor in office as the prosecuting attorney. They shall be paid a salary in an amount as shall be fixed by the prosecuting attorney and approved by the commissioners of the county commission. The appointment, approval, and agreement as to the salary of each assistant shall be in writing, and filed by the prosecuting attorney with the county commission. ­­-------- (L. 1945 p. 572 § 3, A.L. 1959 S.B. 220, A.L. 1972 S.B. 557)
