Title VI COUNTY, TOWNSHIP AND POLITICAL SUBDIVISION GOVERNMENT Chapter 64 • Effective - 28 Aug 1955 64.460. Definitions. — As used in sections 64.460 to 64.487, the following terms mean: (1) 'Ashes', the residue from the burning of wood, coal, coke, or other combustible materials; (2) 'Garbage', putrescible animal and vegetable wastes resulting from the handling, preparation, cooking, and consumption of food; (3) 'Refuse', all putrescible and nonputrescible solid wastes (except body wastes) including garbage, rubbish, ashes, street cleanings, dead animals, abandoned automobiles, and solid market and industrial wastes; (4) 'Rubbish', nonputrescible solid wastes, excluding ashes, consisting of both combustible and noncombustible wastes, such as paper, cardboard, tin cans, yard clippings, wood, glass, bedding, crockery, and similar materials. ­­-------- (L. 1955 p. 348 § 1) (1966) County option dumping ground law does not make operation of a dumping or disposal ground or area without first applying for and obtaining a license a punishable offense.
