Title VI COUNTY, TOWNSHIP AND POLITICAL SUBDIVISION GOVERNMENT Chapter 67 • Effective - 28 Aug 1994 67.1187. Tourism surcharge trust fund, established — use. — All surcharges authorized and collected under sections 67.1185 to 67.1189 shall be deposited by the county in a special trust fund to be known as the 'County Tourism Surcharge Trust Fund'. The moneys in such fund shall not be commingled with any funds of the county. Moneys in the fund shall be used solely by the county for funding public safety services, including, but not limited to, fire protection activities and ambulance services, and for funding the promotion of tourism within the county. Seventy-five percent of the surcharges collected shall be used, upon appropriation, solely for funding public safety services, and twenty-five percent of the surcharges collected shall be used, upon appropriation, for tourism marketing and promotional purposes.
