Income from bonds exempt from income tax. — The metropolitan district is hereby declared to be performing a public function and bonds of the metropolitan district are declared to be issued for an essential public and governmental purpose and, accordingly, interest on such bonds and income from such bonds shall be exempt from income taxation by this state. -------- (L. 1999 S.B. 405 § 67.791 subsec. 6, first sentence of subdiv.
