Airport taxicabs, limitation on regulation by the commission. — The commission shall further seek the input of the city, county, and airport authority generally regarding the taxicab code and, in particularly with reference to airport taxicabs, shall seek to ensure: (1) Continuous, smooth airport service during any transition period from the current city and county operation to the new regional taxicab commission; (2) The need of the airport authority to provide services at the airport's passenger terminals; and (3) Airport authority involvement as to the servicing of the airport by airport taxicabs. The commission shall not regulate the airport or airport taxicabs as to cab parking, circulation, cab stands, or passenger loading at the airport, or the payment by airport taxicabs for use of the airport or its facilities. -------- (L. 2002 H.B. 1041)
