Title VIII PUBLIC OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES, BONDS AND RECORDS Chapter 109 Effective - 28 Aug 1996 109.007. Document preservation fund, duties of archives division to preserve legal, historical and genealogical documents — annual report. — 1. The general assembly shall appropriate moneys from the fund to the office of the secretary of state to be used exclusively by the archives division to: (1) Preserve, through any archivally appropriate means, documents of legal, historical and genealogical importance to the state of Missouri; and (2) Perform all other functions necessary to make these documents available to the public. 2. Once each year, the secretary of state shall report to the general assembly on the expenditure of the moneys appropriated to the archive division for the purpose set out in this section. ­­-------- (L. 1996 S.B. 670 § 109.005 subsecs. 4, 5)
