Title XI EDUCATION AND LIBRARIES Chapter 170 Effective - 28 Aug 1995 170.046. School-based nonviolent conflict resolution program materials — development, content, availability. — 1. The department of health and senior services shall, in consultation with the department of elementary and secondary education, develop program materials for use by school districts in this state, to be known as 'School-Based Nonviolent Conflict Resolution', which shall emphasize: (1) Nonviolence in conflict resolution; and (2) Moral and ethical decision making. 2. The program material developed pursuant to this section may be presented by school districts at least once each school year in grades kindergarten through grade twelve. Such program material shall be made available to all schools including private and parochial schools and the general public. Students shall receive no academic credit for the program developed pursuant to this section. ­­-------- (L. 1995 H.B. 174, et al. § 7)
